Feedstock & Energy Segment
SIBUR owns and operates Russia’s largest and most extensive integrated infrastructure for processing and transportation of associated petroleum gas (APG) and natural gas liquids (NGLs), located primarily in Western Siberia, the largest oil and gas producing region in Russia. As of 31 December 2015, SIBUR had APG processing capacity of 24.0 billion cubic metres per annum and raw NGL fractionation capacity of 8.0 million tonnes per annum.
SIBUR’s infrastructure makes us a long-term partner to oil & gas companies and provides us with a unique competitive advantage. We provide our partners with the most efficient and environment-friendly processing solution to utilise by-products of oil & gas extraction, and they provide SIBUR with long-term advantageous access to a reliable source of raw materials.
We process APG and NGLs to produce energy products such as natural gas, liquefied petroleum gases (LPG), naphtha, methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), raw NGL, other fuels and fuel additives. The feedstock & energy segment sells products to customers in the Russian and international markets and also supplies feedstock for our petrochemicals segment.
In 2015, our feedstock & energy segment gross revenue totalled RR 213,046 million, or 50.4% of SIBUR’s total gross revenue(1). The segment’s EBITDA contribution reached RR 79,144 million in 2015, for an EBITDA margin of 37.1%. The segment employed approximately 6,240 people as of 31 December 2015.
